Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Fire Extinguishers

The clean-agent option. CO2 extinguishers smother a fire by displacing oxygen and leave no residue behind, so there's nothing to clean up and no damage to sensitive equipment. That makes them the standard choice for server rooms, switchboards, offices, labs and anywhere electrical or electronic gear is at risk.

• B — flammable liquids such as fuels, oils, solvents and paints
• E — live electrical equipment including switchboards, computers, machinery and power tools

Because CO2 discharges as a gas, it won't contaminate stock, foul machinery or damage circuit boards the way powder can. The trade-off is limited effectiveness on Class A materials like timber and paper, so most sites pair CO2 units with ABE powder for full coverage.

Servicing: CO2 extinguishers require a six-monthly service under AS 1851, plus pressure testing every five years. We can set your site up on a scheduled service program so your compliance records stay current.
