BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE TESTING

Essential Fire Services can also perform backflow prevention device testing alongside your Fire Equipment Inspection & Testing.

The Watercorp requires the installation of an approved backflow prevention containment device at the boundary of every water service connection to a property, including fire services. Backflow is a reversal of the normal direction of water flow in a water supply plumbing system. These devices must be tested each year in order to prove that they are in good working order.

These reports are then submitted to the Watercorp, to prove that the testing has taken place and that everything is okay. This mandatory, and legal requirement can be easily taken care of through Essential Fire Services.
